Imagine a young single woman living out her dreams of being independent and working at a career she enjoys; having plenty of advantages such as beauty, a nice apartment, a good job and a car, but with the exception of one thing she wants the most love. She yearns for a loving, secure relationship in the example provided by her parents such as getting married and having a family. Too bad the unfortunate lady falls for a man who exploits her sexually; ultimately betraying her trust in him. She becomes undecided between two choices; her need for revenge and what she still feels for him. Given the opportunity to develop these options into something significant when they reunite after many years, their feelings continue into a tumultuous result. She learns to mature beyond the boundaries of desire; finally realizing her quest for true love was founded entirely on the wrong basis. As events reverse in her life from good to bad and back again over time, great effort is given to overcome the difficulties presented. As time goes on, she discovers not only her own passions, but also herself in the process.
As one examines this intimate drama one will find out many things about oneself. As the reader becomes more and more involved as this tale unwinds, they will discover common issues between the characters and themselves; learning what occurred in their lives and ours, is not so unlikely a circumstance. The transformation for the good and for the bad is a universal theme; how these various people that are being written about and how they eventually deal with it, is not. Despite the numerous impediments that result as they progress from dating to being lovers and beyond, one finally discovers that Love is love, no matter how it’s shared, whether you end up together or not in the end. The conclusion of this story will absolutely make you wonder at the similarities; leaving the reader amazed at its incredulous outcome.

Must read-couldn't put down!!! Well written. Interesting and thought provoking. Evokes a lot of emotion in both a passionate and heartbreaking way. Teaches lessons such as learning to love and be happy with yourself; and not rely on others to complete you. Each character left you wanting to know more about their experiences. Ms. Courson's writing has matured from her first book, "Soar Like an Eagle". Already a great story-teller, Patrice Courson has developed drama mastery with "Ornament". Her multi-layered story interweaves the lives of several characters - and shows the reader how the actions of each character are intertwined with other characters. The story describes how events change when another incident is tossed in the water and the ripples spread into various directions. Single women will relate to the primary character, Eva's experiences while seeking Mr. Right. This story is a delightful journey for teens/adults/females/males. Although it details feelings and experiences, the underlying theme is really about KARMA [what you do in life will come back to you]
